Dr. Williams earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensics from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, D.C. campus. During her doctoral internship at the Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, North Carolina, she worked within the Commitment and Treatment Program for Sexually Dangerous Persons and the Forensic Evaluation Services. In these roles, she completed federal court-ordered evaluations addressing critical legal issues such as competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, and violence risk assessments.

Before completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Williams practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor across Georgia, Virginia, and Maryland, providing therapeutic services to a wide range of clients.
